Frame Store
Temporarily storing or buffering frames/images
is useful in a number of video applications such as de-interlacing,
logo insertion / video overlay, and image rotation. LOGIC’s
video products provide flexible and
powerful addressing capabilities that greatly simplify complex
image or video manipulation. An external address port for real-time
R/W address manipulation makes these specialty memories far more
useful than simple FIFOs. 2-D address mapping allows the engineer
to address the memory in terms of a row/column – the way
an image or frame of video was meant to be manipulated. Fully
independent and asynchronous write and read ports allow video
buffering across disparate clock frequencies or phases.
