IPTV
Included under the IPTV umbrella are multicasting
(live TV) and Video on Demand (VOD). Content is compressed using
MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 codec and transmitted through an MPEG transport
stream delivered via IP Multicast (live TV) or IP Unicast (VOD).
Multicasting sends video to multiple computers or terminals at
the same time. The H.264 (MPEG4) codec is increasingly being used
to replace MPEG-2.
LOGIC’s video products provide simple buffering solutions for both raw video
buffering prior to aggregation and compression.
