LOGIC’s Video
Memory provides immediate, off-the-shelf frame buffering capabilities
allowing engineers to spend more time on product differentiation
and less time juggling frames.
Professional digital video cameras capture video
and audio content, and output digital video streams in standard-definition
(SD) or high-definition (HD) digital television (DTV) formats.
The charge-coupled device (CCD) creates an analog representation
of the original image and includes an analog-digital converter
(ADC), providing a digital representation of the image for further
processing. The digital audio and video is often compressed and
sent separately from the camera.
Flexibility is one of the key issues in camera
design. This includes support of various frame rates and resolutions,
and parameter adjustment such as color depth and accuracy. On-board
processing such as enhancement and noise reduction can add to
product differentiation.
